3695(II)_Salesian Vocation Camp
August 3, 2015By Cl. John Nary, SDB
Hua Hin, Thailand - The 54 seminarians from Ban Nazareth (Banpong), Sam Phran and Hua Hin Aspirantates along with their formators came together for their annual 3 day camp to begin the new year of formation.
The program provided powerful prayerful - worship experiences and a strong connection between faith life and the daily lived life. The participants would experience high-impact interactive experiences, games, music, video, sports, outdoor activities. In fact, the Aspirants did honest-to-God camping.
The Aspirants camp is entering its 28 year of history at the Salesian Retreat Center in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Spent three days at the Salesian 'LIFE' camp developing you as a good Christian and as a Salesian leader. Our days were filled with faith and fun. We spent our time developing friendships, playing sports, praying together and reflecting on the challenge of being a Salesian in the world of today.
Our days together were particularly helpful to those who are thinking of a priestly or religious vocation. They are around 12-22 years of age. The camp is staffed by young Salesians in formation and some Salesian priests.
Our spirituality of joy is expressed in the sports, music, games and prayer that we share together. We had opportunities for fishing, boating, hiking, soccer, basketball, softball and camp fire.
With and invitation to pray for growth of vocation culture in the Thailand - Laos - Cambodia (THA) province.
