4578(III)_Feast of Immaculate Conception in Mongolia

Darkhan, Mongolia, 9 December 2017 -- A special program was held in Don Bosco Darkhan to observe the feast of Immaculate Conception and world Salesians’ day. It began with Holy mass at 17.30 in the evening at Maria Auxilium parish. Fr. Joseph SDB the parish priest of Maria Auxilium presided over the Holy Eucharist and around 60 faithful participated. Concelebrants were Fr. Simon (vice-rector) and Fr. Anthony.
At the introduction of the Holy mass Fr. Joseph Manh Dat Nguyen SDB highlighted about the significance of the day, about Mary’s virginal conception, the role of Mary in the life of Don Bosco in founding the Salesian congregation. He put the intention to pray for the Salesian congregation and for the Salesian family at the Holy Eucharist. In his homily he exhorted everyone to imitate the blessed mother, her virtues of humility, simplicity and purity and to pray to her at all times.
After the mass catechism seminar was held for all the catechist of the parish, based on the theme on Blessed mother. It was organized by the pastoral team of the Mongolian prefecture coming from Ulaanbaatar the capital of Mongolia and Erdenet, the second biggest city of Mongolia.
