4211(I)_Growing Together - Salesian Family
Second Formation session for the SF Delegates concluded
November 23, 2016
K'Long, Vietnam, 23 November 2016 -- Among the 60 participants of the second EAO Salesian Family delegates formation in Vietnam very many first-learners, including the Vietnam province ASC and VDB members. The largest group was the hosting province of Vietnam (18 SDB, 2 FMA, 3 VDB, 10 ASC and one Don Bosco Past Pupil), followed by 5 SDB from Thailand, 3 SDB and 2 FMA from Cambodia delegation and one SDB from Japan.
The 3 days program was animated by a variety of high profile resource persons, like the World Coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators (Mrs Noemi Bertola from Italy), the World President of the VDB (Ms. Olga Krizova from Slovakia), the Delegate of the RM for the Salesian Family (Fr Eusebio Munoz) and his team - Fr Guiseppe Casti (World Delegate ASC), Fr Pier Luigi Cameroni (World Spiritual Animator ADMA, SDB General Postulator) and Fr Joan Lluis Playa (Central Assistant for the VDB - CDB).
Personal experience can be summed in these enthusiastic terms: At the beginning I wished to know more about Salesian Family and I am very much satisfied for I not only know the Salesian Family, but I become passionate and enthusiastic for the its growth. All Material (documents and visual presentation) and Resource person (lectures, witnesses and interviews) were very satisfactory. It was really very good. We were divided for the most of the time in two groups (English speaking and Vietnamese speaking) to avoid unnecessary waste of time to translate. At the end of these days I become a believer of the Salesian Family, which I believe is a gift and a responsibility. So I will try my best to put on fire also the confreres in Myanmar with the first of love for the Salesian Family. It is wonderful to talk about the Salesian Family in the real setting and environment of SF (SDBs, FMAs, VDBs, Salesian Cooperators, Salesian Past Pupils and so on). And of course i dream that all Superiors (Provincials and Rectors) and Formators from the Prenovitiate on should be invited to participate in the next edition of this formation."
What remains after these three days? All participants became very much enthusiastic about the building of the Salesian Family, they got enough updated materials about each main group and plenty of wisdom from the SDB Secretariat for the SF but also directly from the members of Lay groups of SF. Each province and delegation presented at the end their 'Action Plan 2016-2019' with some concrete resolution at the personal, local, provincial and regional level.
Last Good Night Talk (Nov 22) was entrusted to Mr Philip Yu, the World Councilor ASC for the EAO region. He shared the movement of 'Happy Vocation' launched in China province two years ago. All participants religious and lay took the 'Happy Vocation' badge with their pledge to live with joy and happiness their call of God.
