ITM Viceprovince visitation is taking off - Manila students encounter
November 10, 2017
Manila, the Philippines, 3 Novwmber 2017 -- We are very gratetul for the first extra-ordinary visitation encounter in our Vice-province. Our one day meeting with Fr. Klement happen in Paranaque, Manila on November 3, 2017. Although the official start of our province extraordinary visitation is scheduled for February 8,2018, the large presence of 19 SDB students from Timor Leste and Indonesia in Manila was the occasion for this special encounter.
One of the 17 Salesians present at this occasion shares his feeling:
"We are grateful for the direct meeting with us face to face. I was very happy when I met Fr. Vaclav directly in personal talk. It was more experience in listening than talking from the side of the Visitor. For me it was a remarkable event to have a rendiconto with our Regional Councilor, because through it we witness the meaning of listening. Even the meeting was shortly done but it was remarkable not only because of the fatherly atmosphere which led to the 'openness' this time towards the representative of the Rector Major as the actual Don Bosco in a very supportive way".
In the morning session we had a short inter-active conference started with the video-message of the Rector Major (October 2017) about grace-filled events in the Congregation: release of Fr. Tom, sending of the new missionaries and renewal of the provincials at Valdocco.
One priest, one Salesian Brother and 15 clerics were grateful for some group or personal reminders (like the reading of the GC 27) and shared their personal growth especially regarding spiritual direction in the two Paranaque communities.
We continue to pray for the incoming visition to our Vice-province, for the mission in the 23 countries of the EAO region. And in a special way we accompany in our prayer the delicate process of establishing the new vice-province of Indonesia.
May everything would be done according to the will of God. Let's keep in touch and always in Don Bosco.Viva Don Bosco!
