February 2014 -- As
very many people in the EAO Region would know Fr José
(Pepe) Reinoso,
either from his years in the Philippines or in Rome, it seems
appropriate to bring readers the news that he is extremely ill
in a
Manila hospital and that the prognosis, humanly speaking, does
not look
good. The community where he is the Rector are recommending
this one to
Fr Charles Braga's intercession. Through this newsletter we
now ask
readers generally to pray for Fr Reinoso.
Fr
Reinoso is the Rector of the Salesian theologate at
Parañaque. His
health has generally been ailing in recent times. Several
weeks ago he
suffered a stroke and was immediately admitted to hospital in
a coma.
Currently he is not in a coma, but is paralyzed on the left
side and is
intubated for feeding purposes. He is breathing unassisted.
Confreres
who have visited him indicate that he is partly responsive -
appears to
be able to hear, but not see or speak.
