KOREA: SEMINAR ON SALESIAN
HOLINESS
DAEJON( Korea ): 14th December, 2003 - 'In the footprints
of the Saints' was the title of yesterday's seminar for all the young Salesians
in early formation, Korea. The number of participants reached 65 - 25
aspirants, 5 prenovices, 6 novices, 14 postnovices, 7 in practical training, 8
students of theology. They have been together for three days of study,
reflecting together along the path to Salesian holiness. The meeting was
organised with the help of 4 SDBs, 1 FMA, 1 CSM (Sisters of Charity of Miyazaki)
at the youth centre at Daejon, the House next to the novitiate 150 kms to the
south of Seoul. Since all young SDBs in Korea attend diocesan study
centres, these few days together serve each year to give depth to the
Salesianity of young men in formation.
During the occasion each year, prayerful thought is given
to the many aspirants who need to pass their university exams. Readying
themselves for entry to the aspirantate are 2 Brother candidates and 9 clerical
candidates.
