Dimapur, India, 15 March 2019 -- The Salesians of Don Bosco in South Asia have prepared a Youth Ministry Training Manual for those in Formation, based on the ''Salesian Youth Ministry: Frame of Reference.'' Last February 28 was the solemn launching during the Inter-provincial conference meeting with the South Asia Regional Councillor, Fr Maria Arokiam Kanaga, in Dimapur.
The Training Manual comprises four books with well-planned modules for the different stages of formation: Prenovitiate, Novitiate, Postnovitiate and Practical Training.
The Prenovitiate part (I) sets the stage, the Novitiate part (II) helps the young Salesian formulate his personal plan of life, the Postnovitiate part (III) helps the young Salesians to gain an in-depth knowledge of the essential skills, while the part (IV) helps in concrete application of the concepts within the lived socio-cultural context of our practical trainees.
The editors are Frs. Maria Charles, Glenford Lowe, Robert Simon and Antony Christy with several contributing writers for each of the four manuals.
