4425(II)_ Inter-cultural Catholic celebrations in Fiji

Suva, Fiji Islands, 1 July 2017 -- Today we celebrated an important event of the multi cultural society and Church in Fiji Islands. During the Intercultural Feast in the Cathedral of Suva were highlighted many important traditions from different countries that makes the Church so colorful.
The celebration was held in the Cathedral in Suva Fiji on the 1st of July 2017. And we - Salesians in initial formation from Don Bosco House in Suva - were invited to entertain and represent the Samoan culture by showing our traditional dances.
It's was a very cheerful and a happy celebration because of the different cultures involved: from India, Korea, Rotuma, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Vietnam, Japan and Kiribati.
During the Eucharist the SDB formation community was helping also in the singing of Cathedral choir.
The Don Bosco International Formation House in Suva was founded in 1999. At present (Rector Fr. Paselio Tevaga) is composed of 4 formators, 5 temporary professed Salesians and 5 novices heading from 5 different countries.
