Priests of East Timor
DILI (TIMOR
LESTE) August 7, 2013- The month of August is special
for the Timorese and the Vice Province of ITM. Aside from the
Marian Feasts and Don Bosco's birthday, there will be two
special days for its confreres who will be ordained.
A missionary, Cleric Natalino Venancio
Freitas de Jesus, along with two other companions in
Argentina, will be ordained deacon this coming Saturday,
August 10, 2013. He takes as his motto: I am among you as one who serves
(Lk. 22:27). After participating in the World Youth Day in
Brazil, he again enriches himself with a few days of spiritual
retreat. The ordination will take place in the evening, at the
Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in San Justo, near Buenos
Aires, Argentina.
Then on the 24th of August 2013 will be the sacerdotal
ordination of Rev. Amarianto Adirson A. Adorado and Rev. Joao
Pereira Gaspar. It will be held in the morning at the Shrine
of Mary Help of Christians in Fatumaca, East Timor. The
ordaining prelate is Bishop Basilio do Nascimento, the
ordinary of the place.
Rev. Amarianto studied theology in Messina, Italy and Rev.
Joao had his theological studies in Paranaque, Philippines.
Both of them have chosen: Remain
in My love (Jn. 15:9) as the theme of their
ordination.
