4381(III)_Holy competition to express christian devotion to Our Lady
May 15, 2017
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam 13 May 2017 -- As the Church in Vietnam is half-way through May, the month devoted to Mary, the patron Saint under the title Our Lady of Lavang, Help of Christians, the parishioners, the children and the young of Tan Thinh Parish, as well as our Salesian aspirants, pre-novices celebrated together some traditional ceremony to express their loving devotion to their Heavenly Mother: The Flowering Offering Ceremony.
With beautiful songs and performances as ritual dances, they embodied their love for the Mother and presented the impressive theme 'Mary of Fatima' which recalled all Christians to convert and to be faithful to Christians duties, as well as to the Rosary daily recitation.
In such a way, not only the parishioners, but also the candidates to Salesian consecrated life learned to love and to express their love for Mary, 'the one who did everything for the Salesian Congregation' as Don Bosco said.
