A Life-changing Encounter for
the Young
Mark’s Gospel – English Comic Edition

the Year of Faith unfolds, Pope Benedict XVI has, in his
pastoral

remarkable project in an absolute Salesian style for the

young generation. Supported by a group of enthusiastic Don
Bosco
alumni, Fr. Denis Martin took the lead to produce an
attractive English
Comic Edition of Mark’s Gospel from the Chinese Edition
published by
the Vox Amica Press in Hong Kong. This English Comic Edition
is a set
book of two volumes with an aim to arrange a meaningful
encounter for
young people to meet and recognize their Savior. This book is
also the
posthumous work of Fr. Denis Martin.
Based on scripture texts from the New American Bible, the
Mark’s Gospel
– English Comic Edition depicts the life of Jesus accurately
and
beautifully, with enticing drawings and careful examination of
biblical
facts. There is also a specially designed “Little Priest”
character who
will guide the readers in their journey to understand the
teachings in
the Bible.
Comics are one of the most popular media among youngsters,
which helps
make this book a useful tool for spreading religious seeds in
the heart
of the young. It is not surprising that this English Comic
Edition has
already earned widespread acclaim. Cardinal Joseph Zen
