Korea ASC held the Annual Conference

DaeJeon, Korea, 15 July 2018 -- Korea ASC held the Annual Conference in three big cities. July 1 in Seoul, July 8 in Gwangju, and July 15 in DaeJeon.

The theme was the ‘Lord, give me the water’, this year’s Strenna.

In the opening lecture Korea ASC Delegate Sr. Jung Hanna, FMA explained ‘Listening’, ‘Distinction’, and ‘Accompanying’. And in second Lecture on the theme Fr. John Bosco Park, SDB told us Bible is a love story and all of us have our own love story with Jesus and he also stressed we should deliver the love to others.

After Lectures there was an appointment ceremony. To add more strength to renew its homepage and to enhance its publicity activities, Communication Committee of Korea ASC recently recruited 4 new members and they were introduced to all participants.

On the other hand, from June 3rd, Korea ASC Provincial Delegate Fr. John Jung, SDB had made local tours to give formation education to Salesian Cooperators living in small or distant cities. He visited three cities. Those are Wonju, Changwon and Jeju island. In Korea ‘Formation School’ for Salesian Cooperators are being operated only in 2 big cities, so Fr. John took his travel to visit other distant local centers not receiving proper formation education. Give thanks to Fr. John Jung for his commitment for Salesian Cooperators in Korea.

The numbers who participated in the Annual Conference amount to about 250, the highest figure so far and new local centers are being established continuously. These certainly show Korea Salesian Cooperators’ thirst and love toward Jesus and they will surely deliver the water Jesus gives to them to their neighbors, specially to the young most in needed.
