Formation Houses in ITM receive a boost of newly ordained priests

JAKARTA: 23rd July 2009 -- ITM has four newly ordained priests as of 22nd July, and all 4 have been immediately assigned to Formation Houses in either Indonesia or East Timor.
    Bishop Julianus Sunarka SJ or Purwokerto Diocese in Indonesia ordained the following Salesians to the priesthood:  Rev. Andi Wibowo, Ferdinandus Reo, both of Indonesia, and Rev. Elias de Deus and Thomas de Carvalho, both of East Timor. The ordination also included candidates from Purwokerto diocese and a Missionary of the Sacred Heart.  Despite the fact that the Salesians are not in Purwokerto, Rev. Andi Wibowo comes from there, so it was decided that the four Salesians would be ordained together on that occasion and in that place.
    Parishioners from St John Bosco Parish in Jakarta, along with Salesian aspirants and all Post novitiate confreres travelled the nine hours to Purwokerto Cathedral by bus.  Following the ordination ceremony the Provincial, Fr Andres Calleja, assigned the four priests to their respective posts.
