FIN: Five final professions and a model
international community!
MANILA (Parañaque): 3rd June -- Five young
Salesians, all from the Philippines North province, made their final profession
on 24th May last, after spending the month of April together for a more intense
preparation including an 8 day directed Retreat. They were Bros Ian,
Jerry, David, Carlo and Clarence.
Although all five in this instance are Filipinos, they belong to a
community which is truly international. There are 44 in all: 1 Timorese, 3
Japanese studying English, 5 from Philippines South (FIS), 5 Sri Lankans, 1
Indian who did his practical training in PNG, 7 Vietnamese, 6 Koreans studying
English and 11 from Philippines North (FIN). They are assisted by 5
formators.
Formators and students have both expressed their contentment with the way
this group has blended together and formed a happy and unified community.
