5058(II)_Graduation Ceremony in Don Bosco Vientiane - Laos
April 7, 2019
Vientiane, Laos, 7 April 2019 -- Since 2004, Don Bosco Youth Vocational Training Centre in Vientiane (DPR Laos) has celebrated the graduation of our Bosconians twice yearly. Already more than 1100 have graduated over the past 15 years and are contributing to the progress of their country and society!
"Congratulations to the 75 new graduates from our centre! 33 Motorcycle mechanics, 22 Welders, and 20 female tailors, all coming from 15 Provinces of Laos and the Capital. Unfortunately those from the Provinces of Xaisomboun and Salavan did not finish. Among the graduates are 20 survivors of the Attapeu flood last year.
Tomorrow they will head back to their Provinces and start to work with the skills they've just acquired. We believe they will be able to contribute to the growth of their families, the development of their provinces, and the progress of their country. All the best to these young Lao men and women!
I would like to express my gratitude to Team We Run, through Vanpheng Southichak and Manithda Sithimolada, for sponsoring the Travel cost of the 20 Attapeu students all the way from the flooded villages of Sanamsay town to our Training Centre in Vientiane Capital and back to Attapeu! KHOPCHAI."
