Bangkok, Thailand, 12 May 2019 -- From 8-30 May 2019, the Salesians and their lay mission partners [catechists, personnel involved in the pastoral ministry] from the various educational centers of the Thai Province [Thailand - Cambodia - Laos] have joined the seminar-workshop on "Don Bosco and His Spirituality". This is held at the Mary Help of Christians Formation Center at Nasugbu, Batangas - Philippines. All-in-all there are 44 participants from the 12 countries of the EAO Region. Among these are 14 people from Thailand, 2 from Cambodia and 1 from Laos, making up to 17 participants from the Thai Province.
Before the departure of this group for the spirituality seminar, on the 7th of May 2019, Fr Thepharat Pitisant, the Provincial, gave them an orientation talk at the Provincial House, Bangkok. He gave them encouragement and reminded them of the purpose of this formation, which is: the need to let the lay mission partners absorb the Salesian charism in order to work harmoniously for a more effective formation of the young. For this trip, the newly ordained Fr Anthony Anusit Chanphen accompanied the participants from Thailand to assist and help them to understand and to reflect on the sessions which are conducted in English.
