4317(I)_The training course for assistants of Vacation Formation

HCM City, Vietnam, 5 March 2017 -- On March 3rd and 4th, 2017 Department of Formation of Mary Help Province (FMa Vietnam) held 2 day training course for assitants of vocational formation at the provincial house in Tamha. The course also had one part opened widely for assitants of boarding houses in the province.
On the first morning, after opening prayer and welcoming Sr. Rosa – the Provincial and several sisters of the Formation Commission, Sr. Teresa Kim Lien (Delegate for Formation) went through the program of two days. Then Sr. Rosa shared with assistants of vocational formation the Constitution No.67 on Salesian assistance. She mentioned the sacred of the assistance: “the communion with God leads us to the young and through the assistance we lead the young to God and help them discover God's plan in their life; you must pay attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit in you and in the young; open your hearts to listen to them ...
After Sr. Rosa’s sharing, the assistants listened to the presentation on theme: "Methods of listening and empathy" given by Sr. Maria Quyen. Her sharings helped sisters reinforce their skills of empathic listening while accompanying young people. In goodnight talk, the assistants had another chance to share their desire and experience of the assistance as well as listened to the words of the Provincial.
In the afternoon of March 3rd and morning of March 4th, there was the participation of some animators and assistants of boarding houses in the course. Sisters listened to Fr. Joseph Tran Anh Thu on the subject: "The companion as a servant leader". He reminded sisters the role of assistants, in another word, as a servant leader following the example of Jesus. Besides, he also shared with sisters some features of a servant leader: model, styles, qualities, problem-solving thinking, communication, accompany principles...
In the afternoon, Sr. Teresa and assistants of vocational formation had the encounter in which they shared to one another the experience and issues relating to accompanying the girls of the initial stages of formation. After sharing, Sr. Teresa thanked sisters for their wholehearted collaboration for the formation and with the sisterly, she left sisters messages: Please always feel joy of assistance, care for the girls on the spirituality, intellectuality, health ..., update your necessary skills and knowledge for assistance ...
After the closing prayer and thank notes to Sr. Rosa and Sr. Teresa, one more time the assistants listened to Sr. Rosa’s loving messages: “the Salesian assistance is the path to the holiness, be happy always to involve in the training of future FMAs for the Church, the Congregation and especially for the Province.”
Thank you Lord and thank to the Provincial as well as the Department of Formation for giving sisters opportunities of encountering, listening, sharing and updating useful things that support sisters to continue the mission of assistance in order to help the young people discover God’ plans and response to His call in the vocation of Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
