RMG, 26 December 2016 -- As good Christmas gift for Salesian history readers the Acts of the DB200 Salesian History Congress Acts are finally published by the LAS (UPS - Rome) University Press. The collection edited by Fr. Zimniak and Sr. Loparco is entitled 'Percezione della figura di Don Bosco all'esterno dell'Opera Salesiana' (The perception of St John Bosco outside the Salesian Works') between 1888 and 1965.
Although the 900 pages strong volume may discouraged the EAO readers, it's a wonderful deep insight into the Don Bosco Friends stories world wide. The International Congress was held last November 2015 with a large participation of Salesian Family members from four continents. All contributions are published in the original language: Italiano, Spanish, English, French and Portoghese.
There are also three deep stories from our EAO region:
First perceptions by non Salesians, by diocesan bishops, the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (CICM) and Saint John Bosco, Schools of St John Bosco in the Philippines, Don Bosco Corporation
Testimonials prof. John Bosco Thanya (Salesian cooperator, committed Catholic Christian)
Testimonials prof. John Bosco Phibun Yongkamoi (education dream realized through the dynamism of 'Sarasat' schools chain in Thailand,
Don Bosco Commemoration, Music - theater - sports, Don Bosco Group, Conference on Child relief work', hardship in times of Second World War in Shanghai.
