prenovices
CANLUBANG: 27 August 2011 -- From Canlubang comes the
following brief note: "Today, we commemorate Bl. Ceferino
Namuncura. here in Don Bosco seminary in Canlubang, we
consider him as model for young seminarians. Like him we
want to do something great for our people.
The day was celebrated with solemn mass
in honour of this model for seminarians. The reverencing of
the relic was also done after the mass. The Salesian
formators community had
its quarterly recollection, and in the evening a Taize-like
prayer service was organized. Throughout the day a
'sacrifice corner' was provided, with the intention of
encouraging the aspirants and prenovices to offer sacrifices
for special intentions and also accomplish some good acts in
imitation of Bl. Namuncura.
A short video was produced by Don Bosco
prenovitiate with the help of Br Jerome from the
postnovitiate (we are merely separated by buildings). Br.
Donnie, the script writer, intended the video to be
introductory material for the special prayer organized by
the aspirants in the evening. It gives a brief background of
the life of Blessed Namancura".
