celebrates St Dominic Savio

MORESBY:16 May 2012-- Don Bosco Technical school,
Gabutu, Port Moresby
anticipated the feast of St. Dominic Savio on Friday 4th
May.
1080 students along with their teachers and non-teaching staff
gathered
in the school chapel at 8.30 AM for the Solemn Eucharistic
celebration
presided over by Archbishop John Ribat MSC of Port
Moresby.
During the celebration 14 students, young adults received the
sacraments of initiation: Baptism, confirmation and Holy
Eucharist. 24 others joined them for the sacrament of
Confirmation. After the Eucharist, the school moved to
the newly
erected statue of Dominic Savio. The statue has come
from
Krishnagar (Kolkta-India), gift of Don Bosco School - Bandel
and
transport arranged by Auxilum Convent Dum Dum. The rest
of the
school day was spent in fun and games.
