Tokyo, Japan, 25 January 2017 -- On the Feast of St. Francis de Sales, the Patron of Journalist was published the 18th number of the Japan Salesian Bulletin 'Don Bosco no Kaze' (Don Bosco in the Wind). Since the time of early missionaries (1927) with their leader Fr.Vincent Cimatti, a simple edition of the Japanese Salesian Bulletin was published. After some years of discontinuation, it was re-started in a new format in 2007 thanks to the cooperation of Salesian Family members.
At present there are published two issues of the Japan Salesian Bulletin every year: January (25.000 copies) and July (40,000 copies) with the support of Don Bosco Sha (DB Editorial) and Provincial Commission on Social Communication (Koho). The contents are accompanied many photos and the the original intuition of Don Bosco about the Salesian Bulletin is quite clear. The readers can get easy a world wide vision of the Salesian mission in all five continents and within the EAO region. On the other hand the 2017 Strenna of the Rector Major about Family is visible as well in many articles.
The digital version of the Salesian Bulletin is available on the internet:
The latest issue of the Japanese Salesian Bulletin (Don Bosco no Kaze).
The past issues can also be found in the website of the Japanese Province.
Already Don Rua did remind in his circulars that the Salesians are not reading and spreading the Salesian Bulletin. This year celebrating the 140th anniversary of the Salesian Bulletin launched in 1877 by Don Bosco himself, we have a good chance to spread in all our communities, schools, parishes this genial instrument of making Don Bosco mission well visible.
