Salesians
2014 - what one region thinks
SAO PAULO: 12 January
2013
-- The SALESIANS 2014 Magazine, now in its 5th
edition,
should already have reached provinces in the EAO Region or be
arriving
as we write (according to numbers ordered last year).
Given that
three members of the EAO Region were fundamentally were key
members of
the team that saw this Magazine reach publication and
distribution
stage, it is interesting to note what another region thinks of
this
particular edition, and how they, as a region, have managed
it.
We are speaking of the combined provinces of Brazil, who
undertook to
print the magazine there but provide copies for Portugal,
Angola,
Mozambique and for Portuguese-speakers in Japan (of whom there
are
many).
The Salesian who is responsible for this undertaking in
Brazil, Fr
Nivaldo Pessinatti, recetnyl sent Fr Filiberto Gonzalex the
following
summary of comments and actions regarding Salesians 2014:
a) Graphics: very creative, light and attractive.
The 6 part division: very interesting and appropriate.
b) Articles: good diversity and yet well-integrated in their
sections.
The experiential style is always appropriate.
c) Photos: good quality and artistic. They display the
multifaceted
Salesian presence.
d) Printing in Brazil: Results excellent.
e) Distribution: beginning next week, provinces will receive
the
quantities ordered and will do local distribution. As for
earlier
years, we will see that it is sent to the most significant
beneficiaries in the region.
Brazil printed 6,000
copies and
generously sent Angola, Mozambique and Japan their copies free
of
charge.
The degree of appreciation, the superb collaboration across
all kinds
of possible boundaries and limitations, and the generosity of
Brazil
(or should we say their sense of Congregation and fraternal
concern)
immediately stands out from the above information.
