TIGARAKSA (Indonesia): 10th Ocotber 2007 -- Between October
7-9, fourteen Salesians gathered in Tigaraksa for an activity that had
been envisioned by the provincials of EAO in order to reflect and
coordinate the work of animation in the area of Salesian formation
within the region.
Frs. Chrys Saldanha and Francis Gustillo led the 3
days of sharing and learning about the common characteristics of the
aspirantate and pre-novitiate as experienced by the provinces of the
region. Fr. Andres Calleja (ITM Provincial) offered his reflections on
practical training while Fr. Danilo Torres shared how the FIN province
prepared candidates for perpetual vows.
Besides the practical resolutions taken, the body
also acknowledged the existence of a Mobile Team whose task is to
assist the provinces in the field of Salesian formation. The members
are Frs. Francis Gustilo (FIN), Giovanni Marsiglia (GIA) and Ian
Murdoch (AUL).
The meeting was rated positively by all participants
who came from the Philippines (FIN & FIS), Japan, Hong Kong,
