World Social Justice Day, Friday

UN: 18th February 2009 -- World Social Justice Day will be celebrated globally for the first time this coming Friday 20th February. It was adopted unanimously by the 192 member states of the United Nations during the November 2007 General Assembly.  It would be good if in at least 129 of those countries, the Salesians who are there could give this day a reminder of the Good News of peace and justice.
    To help with this, sdb.org has made available (or will have made - within the next hour) a prayer prepared by the Justice and Peace Commission of the Unions of Superiors General (USG/UISG) in Rome.  As the first of these two groups is under the leadership of Fr Pascual Chávez, we have put the reference on the page referring to his messages, since he would want us to follow up this message as best we can.  The following URL will take you there easily: http://tinyurl.com/bhcp65 .
