Thanks for the offering made as a Salesian Cooperator

Rome, 2 February 1878

Very Reverend and dear friend in Jesus Christ

I gratefully accept your offer to become a Salesian cooperator. I thank you for your offer and even more for your valuable letter in which you approve and encourage the works that have been begun.

May God bless your charity and make it fruitful for Mayr's glory and for the growth of the Benedictine Order which has been so meritorious to the Church for so many centuries and in so many ways.

Remember that the Salesian houses will be most glorious whenever they can render some service to Your Excellency or to your religious.

I commend myself to the charity of your holy prayers, while I have the high honour of humbly professing that I am

Your Most Reverend and Dearest Father,

most obliged to you in J. C.

Fr John Bosco
