To Miss Claire Louvet, France
E VIII, 3887
Recommends the practice of prayer, communion and confession as a specific programme for each year, month and day.
Turin, 17 September 1883
Mademoiselle Louvet,
Not much, but make sure it is observed diligently.
Every year: an annual review of conscience that reflects on the progress and setbacks of the past year.
Every month: The exercise for a happy death, with monthly Confession and Holy Communion as if they were the last of your life.
Every week: Holy Confession; great attention is paid to reminding you to put into practice the advice given by your confessor.
Every day: Holy Communion, if possible. Visit to the Blessed Sacrament. Meditation, reading, examination of conscience.
Always: consider every day as if it were the last of our lives.
May God bless you and may the Blessed Virgin make you happy for time and eternity. Do the good works that are possible.
Please pray for your poor servant in Jesus Christ
