"You can and must study how to inflame all the brothers of our Society with holy love for God"

Venice, 14 October 1865

My dear Rinaudo,

You can and must study how to inflame all the brothers of our Society with holy love for God, and do not stop until all of them become one heart and one soul, loving and serving the Lord with all our strength throughout our lives..

Certainly you will give an example of this in verbo et opere.

May God bless you, and pray for me who am always,

Yours most affectionately in the Lord

Fr J. Bosco
