To fifteen-year-old Annetta Pelazza

E II, 756

‘When you need something, ask Jesus in the Eucharist and Mary Immaculate, and you will always be heard.’

Turin, 20 July 1864

My dear young Annetta Pelazza,

1. Obedience is the sure way for you to reach heaven.

2. To put into practice the thought that has been occupying your mind for some time (you have not told me this, but I seem to see it in your mind: to become a Sister), place yourself entirely in the hands of your holy superiors.

3° When you need something, ask Jesus in the Eucharist and Mary Immaculate, and you will always be heard.

May God bless you and grant us all to walk the path of salvation for our souls.

Pray for me, who am in Jesus Christ

your humble servant

Fr John Bosco
