Turin, 7 January 1887

My dear Fr De Agostini,

Thank you so much for your good wishes, and with all my heart, I pray to the Lord to fill you with all the graces he desires; May he give you health, happiness, peace, bless your ministry, and make your soul very pleasing in his sight by increasing your goodwill and attention to yourself more and more, so that, when the time comes, you may be worthy of that Great God to whose service we priests and religious are most especially consecrated.

The holy pictures and votive hearts will be hung in the sanctuary and at the altar of Mary Help of Christians, according to the intentions of those who donated them. We rejoice that this good mother protected and preserved them from such a great misfortune.

In the meantime, we thank Our Lady and continue to pray for you, for Franceschino and his family, and for all your intentions, especially for your brother.

I will also write to dear Franceschino.

Believe me, that I am delighted to profess that I am r
