Certificate of membership of the Union of Cooperators — recommends the distribution of lottery tickets

Pinerolo, 5 August 1884

Rev. Mother Superior,

Every day I have wanted to make the promised visit, but each time some embarrassment prevented me. So that your Daughters may at least begin to gain Holy Indulgences, I am sending you the certificate of affiliation and have written to Turin to have the monthly Bulletin sent to you promptly.

I am sending you some tickets to be distributed in aid of our Holy Father. You may return any that you are unable to distribute or do not wish to keep.

May God bless you, your entire religious family and your pupils, and please pray for me and my entire family of orphans, as I profess that I am in J.C.

Your most obliged servant,

Fr John Bosco
