2. Community Animation Comprehensive (CAC)
(Wed Feb 1– Wed April 25, 2012)
Target group: Exclusively for those who are going to take
charge of communities. Total Seats 12 only.
This course uses the participative model of formation, and is a
time-tested offering for the training of community
animators. It covers the essentials of personal growth,
leadership, animation and spirituality.The group will attend
the courses 3, 4 and 5 below, as basic course work. In
addition they will be given special follow up, evaluations,
counselling and spiritual direction facilities with deeper
experience of community, prayer and leadership. Reflective
writing and self-directed study will be important
components. A Certificate of proficiency will be awarded.

An academically rigorous course for Salesians and other
members of the Salesian family focusing on deeper and
more systematic knowledge of Don Bosco, the Salesian

9. FullyAlive after 50 (Thu May 31 –Thu June 14,2012)
Target Group:Those who are 50-70 years of age,desirous of
bringing about renewal in their life.
Contents: Post-midlife Transition, Helps for a meaningful,
creative and productive life, Biological, emotional and
spiritual issues affecting senior age and how to cope with
them, Growing old gracefully.

13. Formation Comprehensive and Counseling (Sat Oct 20
–Thu Dec 20,2012)
The participative model of training employed in the
Community Animation Comprehensive (CAC) has been
found to inculcate personal responsibility and leadership in
the participants. Now FCC brings the same benefit to
formators with a training in the same methodology. The
course will equip formators with the necessary tools to
instil personal responsibility, growth and leadership in their
formees. Participants will cover as course work the same
material prescribed below for courses 14 (Formation) and
15 (Counselling), but will also receive additional tools to
realise these aims. A Certificate of proficiency will be awarded.

15. Certificate Course in Counseling (Thu Nov 22 – Thu
Dec 20,2012)
Target Group: Persons involved/interested in counseling,
e.g. in schools, formation house or in priestly ministry, but
without advanced professional training in the subject.
Contents: Introducing counseling Concepts, models and
approaches; qualities of the counselor; interviewing skills;
stages and flow in the Counseling process; introduction to
schools of counseling, individual and group therapy; REBT;
logo therapeutic approaches and the development of
meaning ; time-limited approaches; Emotional Freedom
Therapy, ethical issues etc. The course will also include
some supervised practice as well as individual and group
counseling sessions. A certificate of attendance will be given to
the Participants.

Except for course nos.2,13 and 15,the fees are calculated as follows:
1. Participants from India and the SAARC Countries
I. Rs. 300 per day for single self- contained room with hot and
cold running water plus food,and use of all facilities.
II. Rs. 100 per day for the course, which includes classes and all
materials provided.
III. A registration fee of Rs.100. This non-refundable fee will be
deducted from the deposit of Rs. 500 that is sent with the
application.
2. Participants from other countries
Please check with us for the fees. You will be expected to pay higher
amount, though nothing even remotely resembling what centers abroad
charge.

REACHING DON BOSCO RENEWAL CENTRE
Don Bosco Renewal Centre is situated in the southern part of Bangalore.
Our house lies on a small side road running uphill at the Loyola Bus stop on
Bannerghatta Road after the popular landmark Meenakshi temple. Our gate
is immediately after the two gates of the Holy Spirit Convent on the right
hand side.
From Bangalore City Station
If you are coming to Bangalore by train, its best to get down at the Bangalore
City Station (the terminus) and take Bus 365, 365D, or 369C from Platform
15 at the City Stand (also known as Majestic) just opposite the Railway
Station. There are also pre-paid auto Rickshaws available from the railway
Station; ask for Meenakshi Temple on Bannerghatta Road. Other buses,Viz.
366, 366B/C/D/F, 367A, 371 and 372- all begin from Kalasipalayam Bus stand
(K. R. Market), which is not very far from the same City Station.These too
come down the Bannerghatta Road.
From Dairy Circle
If you are coming from Kerala or Tamil Nadu, your bus will probably stop at
Bangalore Dairy Circle where you can catch any of the above-mentioned
buses, and also Bus 368 which originates from Shivajinager Bus Stand. From
the Dairy Circle you can also get an auto rickshaw that should take you right
up to our house
From Bangalore internationalAirport
From the airport you may get a pre-paid taxi to the house (landmark
Meenashi Temple). Alternately you could get an airport bus to drop you at
Dairy Circle or Jayanagar. From either Point you can hail an autorickshaw to
our house.
