Turin february 15th, 1907
Dear Don Macey,
I shall feel grateful if you will kindly let me have some particulars
regarding young Henry Vincent Knight. Please tell me if there is any
prospect of his becoming a lay brother in our congregation, or what
may be the real obstacles in the way. I should like to know if he is in
any way clever in his trade; and if his lameness is very noticeable. Of
course if he is very lame he might be allowed to make private vows
(provided he be otherwise worthy). Kindly inform him that I received
his letter and that I shall reply later on.
