First Film Festival
Dedicated to a Saint
KOLKATTA: 18th September -- "No Saint nor Blessed in
the Catholic Church's history had an International Festival of Films dedicated
to her," says Salesian Father C. M. Paul, President, Signis India - Catholic
Association for Radio, TV and Cinema.
"Mother Teresa the 'angel of mercy'
and 'saint of the gutters' who captivated the world in her blue-bordered white
sari and her dogged zeal deserves this feature and documentary film festival,"
insists Fr Paul who is the coordinator of the festival.

Some of the films expected to be screened are
biographies of Mother Teresa's life like Mother Teresa and Her World
(1979) by Shigeki Chiba, Mother Teresa's First Love (1997) by Folco Terzani,

Century by A.K. Bhattacharya (1997), and Dominique Lapierre's feature film
