Youth Ministry Seminar : Conclusions drawn by the Provinces of the EAO Region (Feb, 2006 – HONGKONG)


AUL

  • Premise: YOUTH is the reason for the existence of the Congregation. The entire

‘mission’ is Youth ministry and it is not just one ‘sector’ or a ‘department’.

  • The gradual assimilation of the deep relationship between PAT and SPAA to serve the animation of all dimensions (charismatic and organizational)

  • Naming a person in the province, possibly a member of Provincial Council to facilitate the ‘above’ process

  • Beginning of Lay missionary movement in the province

CIN

  • translate the ‘Simplified Youth Pastoral Model’ into Chinese

  • core group of our YM team to also include Taiwan

  • formation of the confreres with the view of the ‘Pastoral Model’

FIN

  • YM: formation of the EPC members

  • Assistance to the Rectors by the YM Delegate in the formation of EPC

FIS

  • SEPP to be revised in the local settings

  • SYM to be strengthened in terms of associations, groups …

GIA

  • To continue and improve the pastoral activities to the youth at the provincial level (Bible camp, Youth festival, Catholic Youth Vocational Camp)

  • To visit local communities and animate the EPP to make it grow better

  • To conscientize the provincial councillors about the urgency and the need of YM

  • To get YM delegate to be able to ENTER the different sections of our YM (establish a better environment to being ‘accepted’ and thus be more involved)

ITM

  • To finish the process, implementation and evaluation of SEPP in each local community; to complete the provincial SEPP, OPP before PC 2007.

  • To prepare a good YM team to carryout the above task (with guidelines and roles)

  • Make familiar our YM and planning mentality to the young confreres and to our collaborators

KOR

- Deepen the understanding of the pastoral model in all communities through

the Rector’s bi-monthly meeting and through an annual seminar for all the professed

- Help the communities to draw the SEPP

- Make a Korean language cyber-database on YM accessible to all confreres.

- Animate the YM Provincial Team sub-committees

  • focus on YM for children and youth at risk

  • Draw the SEPP in our local communities including the 4 dimensions

  • Help to draw an efficacious SEPP in every community
