Zatti day in Indonesia (ITM)- Book Launching and a Talk Show

JAKARTA: 16th March 2008 -- Representatives of the Salesian family in Jakarta gathered in Tigaraksa to celebrate the Feast of St Joseph and Zatti Day on 15th (The liturgical celebration for Blessed Artemides Zatti is omitted this year, but not other celebrations). It was a welcome break during the time of Lent to have moments of laughter and community togetherness. The Salesian Brothers of the post novitiate organized the event which started with the Eucharist in honor of St Joseph, followed by a Talk Show where three Perpetually Professed Salesian Brothers were interviewed on topics related to Blessed Zatti and the Brother vocation. Fr. Ramoncito Padilla was also called to the stage to explain some aspects of the formation curriculum for Salesian Brothers. A book launching was also held - the Bahasa Indonesia translation of Zatti originally written by Fr Peter Lappin. The two-hour talk show was enlivened by songs from the post novitiate clerical students and a hospital comedy by the aspirants and pre-novices.
Blessed Zatti Day is a feast for all members of the Salesian family. It is an occasion to recall his example and how he carried out the charism of Don Bosco within the context and needs of Argentina. T-shirts and book markers were distributed to all the participants as a reminder to follow Zatti in his efforts to start afresh from Don Bosco.
