Ordinations in Korea too

SEOUL: 18 April 2010 -- Our Korea correspondent is precise and to the point:  "On 17 April at 2 pm at our school in Kwangju, two Korean Salesians were ordained to the priesthood by the Archbishop of Kwangju who is also an alumni of our school. The ordinands are Fr. Peter Ji-yeong Park and Fr. Matthew Chul Hyun Hwang. Both studied at the seminary in the Philippines. Fr Peter is presently assigned to Salesian middle school as teacher of ethics and Fr Matthew is currently studying for a master’s degree in migrant worker ministry at Ateneo de Manila in the Philippines".
Not entirely related to this but of interest, will be the efforts of the sdb.org webmaster, himself Korean (Bro Hilario Seo), who is steadily working away at the Google Map API viewable from the homepage.  It is a long process, but the goal is to ensure that when you click on a 'balloon' for a particular province, you may eventually be able to arrive immediately at that province and further still identify the communities in that Province.  Hilario has taken Korea as his first step - so try it. Click on the balloon that identifies Seoul as the Provincial House location - you should now arrive at Korea where you can enlarge the map and see the location of each of the Houses (there is still more to do yet, even with this step).  This is currently not the case for other provinces but will be progressively added.  At some point we may then be able to add in 'street view'. So please make sure your lawns are cut and and the house painted and..... well, you know what we mean.
