EAO Region, 13 January 2021 -- Just two days ahead of the 39th SF Spirituality Days (January 15-17), the 1000+ EAO region participants are getting ready with their leaders, translators to 8 EAO languages, technical support team and many volunteers. In the 2021 Strenna commentary the Rector Major invites us to learn, that prayer is the school of hope and 'a first essential setting for learning hope is prayer' (Pope Benedict XVI, Spes Salvi, 32).

During the two hours of the EAO regional event on the first two days (January 15 and 16) the opening and concluding prayer has been prepared by different groups of the Salesian Family - Past Pupils of Myanmar (Myitkina), Caritas Sisters of Jesus in the Philippines (Santa Rosa DB Caritas School) and from the Fiji Suva community in the Pacific delegation (AUL) province.

We are grateful to all who are working hard on good preparation, grateful to all who are praying for the multiple charismatic fruits of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days. Since the first edition of the SF Spirituality Week in 1973 it's the first time in history when thousands of Don Bosco Family members can come closer thanks to modern technology but also thanks to the mutual prayers.
