Darkhan, Mongolia, 22 January 2020 -- Since the beginning of the Advent season 2019 a new youth group has come into existence in Darkhan Community. They can be called the leaders in our Youth Ministry. There are teenagers (under 20 years), guided by the Salesians and Lay Mission Partners (Staff) of Don Bosco Center. After many days of meetings, when we sit down to plan and discuss, we came up witha simple plan in order to be with the young and for the young.

Now, after every Sunday Mass the young people gather together for their catechism lesson, human development and Salesianity class as well for formation about the life of the Saints. The resource persons are the Don Bosco teachers for lessons in human development, while Salesians are in charge of the Salesianity class and the staff of the Youth Ministry group takes charge of the lessons about our Saints.

Beside these specific 'lessons' there are multiple activities within and beyond the Mary Help of Christians parish. So the young people are slowly taking charge and responsibility in the Catholic community and in the Don Bosco Oratory.

Our goal is to be with the young, pray with them, play with them and closely accompany them on daily basis. We hope that slowly, step by step, they will discover the meaning of their life, the love of God under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and under the protection of our Lady, Mary Help of Christians.

During today's visit, Fr Paul Leung, Delegate for Mongolia, shared with them about Don Bosco in this Salesian month and on this occasion also the Salesians in Darkhan had the first quarterly recollection in 2020.
