Brunswick (Melbourne), Australia, 30-10-2019 -- On 12 October at Don Bosco Youth Centre in Brunswick - Melbourne, we held our first Middle Eastern Christian gathering, with 17 young people from both Iraq and Syria. We began our meeting by welcoming our young Christian guests, with some of them having just arrived in Australia after being granted asylum and others who have been in Melbourne for a little while longer.

During a game we were able to create a link between each other's identities and become a united Christian family. Secondly, we shared some ideas for our next meetings and how they will be carried out. We enjoyed our celebration of the Eucharist with humble voices.Praise and thanks were lifted to heaven reciting traditional hymns.

Later on during free time some memorable photos were taken together inside the blessed, spiritual, humble chapel, followed by a chance to roam the Youth Centre, where no doubt some selfies were captured too! To re-energize and get ready to compete and participate in the games, some appetizers and drinks were served! The young and adult hearts were huffing and puffing while jumping up/down, low/high and side to side, to left and right, (the Centre has several trampolines!) during their participation in all activities provided.

The night finished with the motivation and willingness to come back to water and maintain the seed that we planted at the beginning of our first night, in our coming gatherings, by God ‘s will!
