May Final Professions

PARANAQUE: 4th May 2009 -- The chapel at the Seminaryo ng Don Bosco, Paranaque City, saw the perpetual professions of seven youg Salesians on 1st May. These Salesians belong to the provinces of Korea and Vietnam and the PNG/SI Delegation. All are candidates for the priesthood and currently studying at Seminaryo ng Don Bosco.
    Joseph Tran Bao Son, Peter Dinh Cong Truong and Vincent Hoang Phi Hai are from VIE. Peter Ryan Vergouw, and Indonesian Salesian, is a missionary in nearby Papua New Guinea, while Isidore Maramun is a native of Rabaul Diocese East New Britain PNG. The remaining two are Matthew Cheolhyun Hwang and Peter Jiyoung Park from Korea province.
    Families of the men from Vietnam and Korea were present at the ceremony, which was also attended by provincials or other representatives from the circumscriptions concerned, as well as neighbouring provincials: Fr Julius Sanchez, provincial of FIS, Fr Stephen Nam, provincial of KOR, Fr Rafael Galve, the PNG-SI Delegate, Fr Carlo Villegas, superior in Mongolia. Fr Eli Cruz, Provincial of FIN was the main celebrant and received the professions in the name of the Rector Major.
