ORANGE, NJ: 1 July 2009 -- Sixteen Salesians from Bolivia,
Cambodia (Fr Leo Ochoa), Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, India, Liberia,
Mexico, Uganda and Zambia assembled at New Rochelle, N.Y. and were
briefed on the Mission Cooperative Plan (MCP) for Summer 2009. The MCP

summer holidays.
The orientation day took place last June 17, 2009
and the whole program will end by August 16, 2009. MCP is a weekend
special message about the Church’s Mission during all the masses in the
assigned parishes by the Diocesan Director of the Propagation of Faith
to make the annual Mission Appeal for the Salesian Society of St. John
Bosco.
Fr. Mark Hyde heads the Salesian Mission Office
based at New Rochelle, N.Y. Fr. Hyde welcomed the missionaries and
introduced the Preventive System as creating safe environments in
Salesian presences as focal point of the orientation day.
He also communicated the greetings and encouraging
words from Fr. Vaclav Klement, the Councilor for the Missions.
