1729 Yellow Umbrella on YouTube

(yes, there were two 1727s!)

Très frais. Très jaune.  Très.....umbrella!

YouTube: 7th January 2007 --  Yes, it had to happen; some enterprising person has seen to it that The Yellow Umbrella (of Strenna 2007 fame) has found its way onto YouTube.  One notes that it is there in two versions, one a respectable fast-connection version, the other a 'pocket' version for slower connections.  However, both are viewable, add a touch of colour and a refreshing message to the world's most watched website - at least if you are under 30, and for the rest of us, well, some may not even be aware that this world of colour (yes the other strenna clip is also there) exists.  To find it obviously, go to YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/ and run your search on yellow umbrella.
If you have a sense of humour, I would also suggest the 1975 Pernot 45 ad, which you will find listed amongst the same search results.  It really does add something to the first, and might brighten up even the dullest of days!
YouTube? It was probably responsible for Time Magazine awarding the person of the year to 'You'.  Yes you. You control the Information Age. Welcome to your world - says Time.  YouTube is a popular, free, viedo-sharing website which lets anybody upload and view videos in common formats like mpeg and avi, without specialised equipment.  The fact that it sold to Google recently for $1.6 billion is one indicator of its importance in the digital world today.
