New spirituality magazine for Salesian Family: Path to Inner Life

BANGKOK: 4th May 2005 -- The first issue of a new spirituality magazine for the Salesian Family in the Thai language, Path to Inner Life (Chittvisai in Thai), has been distributed to six different branches of the Salesian Family in the province.  The first edition of 1,000 copies contains 56 pages.
The brainchild of Fr Joseph Banchong, a doctoral graduate in pastoral theology from the Alfonsianum in  Rome, the new magazine aims to be a quarterly with brief theme-focused articles, often translations from material elsewhere, but the ultimate aim is to support and nurture the spiritual life of the Salesian Family.  This comes largely as a response to the request from the SF advisory council of the THA province.
To offer an idea of the content of this first edition, herewith a list of articles:

# Salesian Spiritual life (What is it? – Vecchi)

# Psychology of Spiritual life

-         conditions for self-development

-         reconciliation with myself

-         listening

# Life in our Lord

path to God, path of life

# Consecrated life

-         Sacrament of Reconciliation (editor)

# Image of Jesus

-         Risen Lord (Anselm Grun)

# The year of the Eucharist

-         presence of the risen Lord among us

# Quotations of the famous spiritual guides

Fr Banchong forms part of a group working full time on Salesianity material in the Thai language and leads of team of six SF members in the same task.  He is a member of the ongoing formation commission for the province as well as the Vice Postulator for the cause of Fr Carlo della Torre, Founder of the Daughters of the Queenship of Mary (DQM) Sisters.
