EAO, 19 September 2019 -- The missionary heart and missionary animation of the whole Catholic community is well known. The opportunity of the 'Extrarordinary Mission Month - October 2019' is also well known and followed or not in different countries or different ecclesial groups or religious families in a variety of ways.

The Missionary Month in AUL (Australia - Pacific) province was held from 15 August - 15 September with the weekly animation letters of the Provincial Delegate for the Missionary Animation, Ms. Lauren Hichaaba. Main goal of the month: 'to be always committed to spreading that message throughout our lives.

The province of Vietnam-Mongolia have translated and adapted (inculturated) the official animation booklet produced by the SDB Missions Sector in Rome. Under the same cover we find for each day one new element: one Salesian missionary story (October 1: Giovanni Cagliero missionary vocation) and one specific prayer for the respective day. The animation and distribution of this wonderful aid took place in the presence of Fr. Guillermo Basanes, during the Rectors retreat last August in K'Long.

The province of Korea have also translated and published the October 2019 animation booklet and the animation happens at the level of the Salesian Family, during the September 22nd 'Salesian Family Day' in Seoul - this year under the theme: 'Salesian Spirituality and Missions'. SDB, FMA, Caritas Sisters of Jesus, Salesian Cooperators, Don Bosco Alumni, VDB and ADMA receive during the Sunday Eucharist this tool for all of their members.

We are waiting also for similar good news from other EAO provinces, so that all Salesian Brothers and Priest with the other 17 Salesian Family groups around the 23 countries of the EAO Region may grow in missionary spirit and vision: Lord, send me!
