Hua Hin, Thailand, 3 September 2018 -- Even 68 years after Mons. Gaetano Passoti passed away, 'his' Congregation of SIHM (Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary), keep the memory of their founder very much alive. Last September 3, after the morning Eucharist presided by the EAO Regional Councilor in the Hua Hin General House with the SIHM sisters community, their junior high school aspirants offered the flowers and held a simple commemorative moment with songs and prayer. In the afternoon of September 3 also the EAO and South Asia formators group gathered in Hua Hin paid the visit to the SIHM General House guided by Fr. Theparat Pitisant (THA provincial) and Fr. Ivo Coelho, General Councilor for Formation. For all of them was the first occasion to get know the life and mission of one oustanding Salesian missionary and founder - Mons. Gaetano Passoti, known for his tireless missionary zeal during very difficult times of World War II and always irradiating joy and optimism in his pastoral service and in the foundation of SIHM Congregation. We were very happy for this family occasion to share with so many Salesians from many Asian countries about your history and present life!

The life biography and short spiritual and historic profile of Bishop Passoti, SDB is available on the Boscolink: 'To all thing for all people!"
