Anisakan, Myanmar, 24 December 2019 -- What is possibly the final Salesian ordination in EAO for 2019 took place on Saturday, 21 December, at 7am in Anisakan - Myanmar. Salesian Cleric Clement Htun was ordained as deacon by the Archbishop of Mandalay, Nicolas Mang Thang in the presence of the MYM Viceprovince superior Fr. Charles Saw and many other confreres and members of the Salesian Family.

The new deacon shared his feelings: 'This was a great moment of blessing for me. Everything is by the grace of God, My motto is "Lord, to whom shall we go?" (John 6:68) My soul really magnifies the Lord for his goodness to me.'

Deacon Clement completed his theology studies at the international Salesian Theologate in Jerusalem, Ratisbonne Institute (2016-2019). During those years he was able to conclude his Salesian dream after 11 years, finishing the spiritual reading of the complete 'Biographical Memoirs of Don Bosco' (English version, 19 volumes).

We congratulate the Myanmar Viceprovince and pray that our new deacon will grow day by day with the same apostolic heart of Don Bosco.
