December 19, 2018

By Secretary, FMA Province Thailand

Sam Phran, Thailand 12 December 2018 -- The Formation sector of the FMA Province has organised a formation meeting for elderly FMA at Sam Phran, Ban Than Phraphon, on the topic of “physical and psychological balance”.

The Provincial, Sister Nipha Rangabpit, opened the meeting, presenting a number of biblical figures who suggest patience and unswerving faith. Professor Yaowarat Ratanan developed the topic from the point of view of physical care taken by an individual to avoid “falling, forgetting, being depressed and not eating well”. Fr Ronachai Mathavabhandhu sdb developed the moral aspect as viewed from Church teaching, especially Pope Francis' Apostolic Exhortation Gaudete et Exsultate. Sister Suphaporn Daovadee from the St Paul De Charter Congregation spoke about the care each person should take to arrive at a good psychological balance, on which serenity, a fruitful life and community atmosphere depend. Sister Nawarat Thirapatchararangsee, FMA, a member of the Provincial Formation team, presented the charismatic aspect and apostolic value of self-gift and prayer.

A timetable which suited the age level of the 25 participants encouraged a serene and relaxing atmosphere.

Everyone returned to their communities with feelings of gratitude to the Lord and the Superiors for the attention shown to elderly Sisters, by helping them to appreciate their own talents and be witnesses to a life of prayer and wisdom.
