"Share the Word, live the Eucharist - Young Asians, be heroes on Mission"

PHNOM PENH: 8th November 2009 -- After having participated actively in the Southeast 1 Regional Youth Ministers’ Training organized by the Youth Desk of the FABC in Bangkok, Thailand on April 21-24, 2009 the Cambodian participants have decided to send a delegation to the Fifth Asian Youth Day 2009, 20-27 November 2009 to be hosted by the Philippines.
The Cambodian Delegation will be again headed by a Salesian priest with 17 young people. The group will leave Phnom Penh for a 10 hour trip across country to Bangkok on the 17th November with a flight to Manila to arrive in time for the first activity of Days in the Diocese (DID) to be hosted by the Diocese of Paranaque on 18th November.
AYD5 proper will be hosted by the Diocese of Imus, Cavite, with the theme: Young Asians - Come together, Share the Word, Live the Eucharist. The Cambodian delegates are subdivided for participation in the Post AYD5 workshops and exposure programs: Peace-building, Religious Dialogue, Youth Ministries  and Asian Youth Ministers’ Meeting.
With all this knowledge and experiences as expressed in their expectations and hopes through the Word and the Eucharist, young Cambodians intend to become heroes on Mission as soon as they return to Cambodia from 2nd December 2009 onwards.
