Hatyai, Thailand, 19 April 2019 -- On 19 April 2019, the Salesian Science Maths English Program of Saenthong Vittaya and Thidanukro schools organized the “SME Volunteers activity” run by Brother Thanad Anan, the director of Saenthong Vittaya school with 493 students and 17 teachers. The volunteer activity started in the morning by carrying the bricks and marble slabs to build the bell tower for Wang Sukkatitham hermitage, Oktalu mountain, Pattalung province. The students helped each other by standing in a row from the bottom to the top of the mountain, a total of 1066 steps or around 800 metres. Imagining themselves to be like an army of ants, the students and teachers showed teamwork and the power of sacrifice. They are not only good in academic fields of study but also reflect self-sacrifice for the society.

In the afternoon they went to Saensuk Lampum beach, Pattalung Province, to participate in a “SME relationship” activity in order to create good relationships between the seniors and juniors and with their teachers. It is creative activity and builds their smiles, fun, and good relationships suggested by the motto “SME warming atmosphere”.
