PHNOM PENH, 09 January 2005-- St. Nicholas Parish Zoetermeer, The Netherlands, will support the participation of ten Cambodian youth delegates to the World Youth Day 2005 Cologne, reported Fr. Leo Ochoa, SYM animator in Don Bosco Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The group has already started their preparation through praying and meeting together. They have already received their registration number P-GB-007729-1. Under the motto “Youth is time...”, their pilgrimage has begun today (9 January 2005) with study and reflection on issues and values that “youth is a time of peace, of love, of unity, of joy, of grace, of hope, of sharing gifts, of healing wounds of division, of building the world that is one…” This is the first opportunity for young people to talk and even asks, “who says that today’s youth has lost their sense of values?” During the meeting, they sang “The way of love”, “Youth serving youth”, “Selfless Love” ....

A success story (I WYD) that was born in Rome on Palm Sunday in 1986 is expected to be in Cologne, Germany on 16-21 August 2005 (XX WYD) another success story for the Pope and for millions of young people worldwide. May it truly be a celebration of “youthful” faith!
